Records
Set in 07-08 Season
Not only did the Cats
have the most wins in a season since the 1997-98 season, but
there were records broken as well. Earlier in the season Peter
Heng tied the record for steals in a game with 8 against Santa
Clara. That record hasn't been touched since 1992-93. Nick
Nanez, a former Los Gatos P.G. who ended up playing college basketball
at Chico State, previously held the record.
Garrett Blackwell broke
two records this year that have stood since the 1976-1977 season.
In the CCS second-round game against Overfelt, Garrett grabbed
25 rebounds breaking the former record of 22. Also, Garrett shattered
the single season rebounding record with 321, the previous mark
was 301.
Also, twice this year
Los Gatos basketball players made the San Jose Mercury News Highlight
Reel. Michael Hodgman was selected with his 22 point 5-5 3pt
fg performance in a win over Fremont. Garrett Blackwell was selected
with his 25 rebound (16 offensive) performance
