What is Link Crew? It is a freshman transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Link Crew trains upcoming Juniors and Seniors to support and be positive role models for incoming 9th graders.
What is Expected of Link Leaders? Link Leaders commit themselves to participating in a variety of events.
| 1. Link Leaders participate in the Spring Play Day, April 19th, which is an afterschool introductory training session. | |
| 2. Link Leaders participate in 1 all-day training session on August 17th, just before the start of school. | |
| 3. Link Leaders participate in an all-day Freshman orientation, August 25th, in which they will lead their small groups in activities meant to make Freshman feel welcome, confident and supported about starting at Los Gatos High School. | |
| 4. Link Leaders participate in and can inititate follow-up activities with their 9th grade Links intensively throughout the 1st semester. These activities can be both social and academic. |
How can I become a Link Leader?
First,
you must be willing to commit for the long term and you must be a Junior
or Senior during the 2006-2007 school year.
Second, you must fill out your application
on-line. This includes writing a brief statement as to why
you would like to be a Link Leader. If you have any questions, contact Ms.
