The emphasis in German 1 is on the spoken language. Correctness of expression, pronunciation and comprehension of oral and written German are emphasized. The students learn the basics of grammar and must participate in guided German conversations. Culture and geography are introduced. Videos. realia, role playing, and computer programs supplement instruction.
