Cell Biology is the study of the cell, the basic unit of all life. Therefore an
understanding of the cell is at the core of understanding biology.
All living things can be categorized as being either a prokaryotic
cell, a eukaryotic cell, or a collection of eukaryotic cells.
This unit explores the basic constituents of the cell and how
they work together to allow a cell to live and function. By the
end of this unit a student should be familiar with the basic internal
structures and organelles of a cell and how they function to support
the cell, the basic unit of all life.
