Extra Credit: Outside reading
A.P. Comparative Government
Students in A.P. Comparative Government may earn up to 25 points of extra
credit. Select a book from the recommended reading list. You may also propose
a book, but it must be relevant to international politics or our work in Comparative
Government: you must obtain my approval before reading any book
not included on the list.
- Point assignment will depend on the length or complexity/relevance of the
book.
- Students may read two books to obtain the maximum of 25 points.
- Students may not "double dip" or use any book for extra credit that is
also being used in another class. A violation of this stipulation is considered
an integrity violation, resulting in a referral and possible removal from
A.P. Comparative Government.
- After reading the book make an appointment with me for a book interview.
- During or after the interview, students will be asked to complete a short
project aimed at teaching part or all of the book to your colleagues.
- All extra credit interviews/projects must be completed before January 12,
2007.
- Students may choose into what weighted grade category the extra credit
will apply.
