SENIOR YEAR ACTIVITIES

Senior Counselor Meetings — 9/3–13/24
Each senior will meet individually with their counselor to review and plan for their post-secondary goals. These meetings will occur during the students' government or economics classes.

Senior Parent/Guardian Information Night — 9/4/24

Nuts & Bolts of College Application Process — 5/29/24
This presentation and slides that provide an overview of general college application steps and LGHS-specific application steps for the main college systems: California Community College, California State University (CSU), University of California (UC), out-of-state public colleges, and private colleges.

College Kickstart Student & Parent/Guardian Intro Zoom — 5/28/24
This recording shows a walkthrough of how to use College Kickstart. College Kickstart helps students create a list of colleges to apply to using their personal academic profile and college admissions data. The software helps create a balanced, realistic list. The class of 2025 was emailed (check school email) login instructions on May 22. Additionally, this is a shorter tutorial video created by the LGHS Counseling Department.
