Developmental assets are the positive values, relationships, skills and experiences that help children and teens to thrive. Research tells us that kids who perceive that they possess higher levels of these assets are less likely to engage in risky behaviors, and more likely to succeed academically. LGHS Project Cornerstone Parents- WHO WE ARE
Project Cornerstone Parents’ mission is to form a positive working partnership with the faculty to assist with building developmental assets for our students. Functioning as an advisory and assistance team, we approach the challenges our students face from a solution oriented perspective, working under the direction of LGHS administration. We have a variety of current projects underway, and we also continue to brainstorm new ways to work for a caring school climate at LGHS.
If you would like to be part of a social movement working together in an intentional and strategic way to build assets for our youth, then this is the group for you! Join us to make a difference for our kids!
